Charlotte Wood: Charlotte’s passion for ceramics lies within the art of throwing and the technology of glazes. These primary values have resulted in this floral inspired contemporary tableware range. It combines thrown porcelain vessels with bright colours, designed to highlight the throwing rings and handmade marks which result from the making process. The simplicity of this range shows the key relationship between aesthetics and functionality, and Charlotte demonstrates this by deliberately ignoring traditional pottery conventions, such as the additions of handles, for added emphasis on colour and form.
